Talk:SUSE SLES9 SP2 SW-Raid

Pls explain why "dd" isn't needed anymore? How do the contents of "sda1" and "sdb1" in the example end up the same?
- It seems that lilo script recognize that both disks can be used for booting (containing prepboot and fat16 partitions) and writes the contents to both disks. (I am not 100 % sure about this, it is just based on the experience I had..) --bautt 10:58, 9 Oct 2005 (CEST)

A:
"bootlist" and "show_of_path" are both provided by ppc64-utils-X.X.X.rpm
You can use a SUSE SLES9 Version from installation media or download the most recent for SUSE and Red Hat from: http://techsupport.services.ibm.com/server/lopdiags/
You will also find Debian packages at: http://ftp.uni-augsburg.de/pub/tuxppc/test/Service-Tools/
Here is a link to SUSE SLES9 Service Pack downloads: http://wiki.novell.com/index.php/SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server
